The mpg2 file format used for DVDs is the best quality format you can get, but the problem is to get that quality the file sizes are very large and would take some time to download even on a super fast broadband connection. Check your player as you may already have it installed and if not it may be worth going to the manufacturers site to see if they offer a firmware update that may include DivX, if not new players are very cheap now and DVD players with Divx compatabilty are now readily avaiable at most major retailers, including BestBuy in the USA, and Comet in the UK.
